PR Sports coaching offer apprenticeships to help you learn on the job.
Our apprenticeships offer 1 day education with course tutor and 4 days on the job training, consisting over observing and assisting senior coaches and delivering independently once a level 2 qualification is obtained.
Due to a great uptake in our new community programmes taking place in the evening and weekends and our schools provision expanding, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a driven and motivated individual to join our team!
As a member of the team, you will be delivering sessions to children aged 2-14 years in a variety of sports settings.
Job Title: Apprenticeship Coach
Reports to: Laura Patrick – Director
Type of Position: Full Time
Hours: up to 37.5 hours per week.
Inclusive of:
School provision hours between 8.00am – 4.30pm Monday - Friday
Community coaching sessions vary from 9.30am-12.00am and 5.30pm-7.30pm Monday-Saturday.
Holiday club hours between 09:15am – 15:00pm Monday to Friday.
We aim to offer some flexibility with timetabling to allow individuals to access opportunities to boost their earnings.
Wage:
£6,708 apprenticeship wage.
Increased pay when qualified to deliver sessions independently
£15 per hour once qualified
What will the apprentice be doing?
Successful candidates will deliver sport and physical activities to children and young people, both in school curriculum time following the PE National Curriculum and also deliver a range of out of school hours learning, (extracurricular activities, before school, at lunch times, after school and in school holidays) periods 5 days a week including some evenings and weekends.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
The apprenticeship training will take approximately 18months to complete.
The course will consist of online courses, webinars, classroom sessions and workplace visits with a tutor.
On completion you will achieve a Level 4 Sports Coach qualification.

Qualifications Required
GCSE or equivalent Maths & English Grade A*-C/9-4
Please note: The person appointed to this role will have contact with children and vulnerable adults, and therefore, the post holder will require an enhanced Disclosure Barring Service check.
